An officer in the Mecklenburg-Schwerin army, which was a member of the Confederation of the Rhine from March 1808 until 1813. This picture may be of a Captain von Bastian if it dates from 1810-13, but due to the height of the collar it may be earlier, from around the 1808-10 period and the officer is then unknown.
